Men's Ministry
The men of Mt. Vernon like to minister by lending a helping hand. Helping Hands Ministry is an effort to help those who need a little bit of help around the house.
Whether it's raking leaves, mowing the grass, shoving the snow, moving boxes or minor home repairs, the men of Mt. Vernon are ready to lend a helping hand.
Women's Ministry
The Ladies of Mt. Vernon stay connected to our community and to each other through a variety of ministry and mission projects. Various efforts are made throughout the year to minister to homeless shelters, the Children's Home, Redford Interfaith Relief, Operation Christmas Child and other ministries.
Community Bike Outreach
Community Bike Outreach is a ministry that seeks to help those in need of bicycle repairs.
Bicycle riding is one of Pastor Joe’s favorite activities and he loves to get others involved. Some people don’t have bikes. A lot of people have bikes that don’t work and need help fixing them.
You can bring a broken bike and we will attempt to repair it for you at no cost. If it can’t be fixed, we will try to find a replacement for it. We encourage everyone to ride safely, so helmets are always strongly encouraged and provided to those who need them.
Bike Days are held at the Community Bike Shop located behind the main church building. They take place on Saturday afternoons throughout the summer months.
